Helps for Students Who Took ECEN 330 in Summer 2014

ECEN 330 changed between Summer 2014 and Fall 2014. This page outlines some of the things you can do to make sure you are adequately prepared for ECEN 390 as taught in Winter 2015.

  1. Subscribe to the ECEN 330 youtube channel. I prepared several videos that demonstrate best practices for the Xilinx SDK and to explain other aspects of ECEN 330. You can subscribe by browsing to youtube.com. Search for BYU ECEN 330. It will be at the top of your search results. You will see a subscribe button near the channel name. Click that button and you should be good to go. Watch all of the videos that describe how to use the Xilinx SDK (V1 - V8). I have also provided a link to these 8 labs here for your convenience:
  2. Work on the first two 330 labs. At least start them and do part of them. As long as you work through the first two labs and understand them before you start on Milestone 3, you should be OK. Here is a link to the labs.
  3. Make sure that you understand the coding standard. The TAs will grade your solution based on your careful adherence to the coding standard. The coding standard is described here
